Chelsea’s assistant coach Marco Ianni (photo) has been fined over 6,000 pounds (about 6,700 euros) for “inappropriate behavior” by the English FA. This was announced by the FA on Tuesday. Ianni provoked guest coach José Mourinho in the Premier League match against Manchester United (2-2) on 20 October . According to the FA admitted the assistant of head coach Maurizio Sarri his misconduct.
ManUnited had conceded the equalizer in the sixth minute of stoppage time. Ianni cheered the gate hilariously and directly in front of Mourinho, who then jumped in rage, but was stopped by the law enforcement. It came to a pack formation, the situation calmed down only after a few minutes. Both Ianni and Sarri later apologized to Mourinho, who was reprimanded for his emotional response by the FA.
